March 18, 2010 - Castle Post Event
On March 18, 2010 our Chapter had another successful education event on ‘LEAN Methodologies’ at The Castle Post in Versailles, KY. This event, attended by nearly 60 members, was another successful effort our chapter has embarked upon this fiscal year.

BGHIMSS was pleased to hold its 3rd Annual Advocacy Day 2010 on Tuesday, February 23, 2010. The meeting, held at the Capitol Annex, had a number of informative speakers. Mark Birdwhistell gave a presentation on the Recovery Act and Washington DC Health IT Update. Dr. Carol Steltenkamp, UK Medical Center and co-chair of the Kentucky e-Health Network Board , gave an update on the Kentucky Health IT Landscape.
The morning speakers were followed by visits with Legislators. The group got back together at the Capitol Plaza Hotel after their meetings to eat lunch and listen to Senator Julie Denton> discuss The Current and Future Health IT Landscape in Kentucky
